 Boil Water Alert UPDATE:

As of Monday, November 9th the City of Hubbard remains under a Boil Water Alert. Until further notice do not drink the City of Hubbard water without boiling it first.  Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, OR use bottled water.  Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice.

Although the City remains under the boil water alert, the risk of contamination is low.  The contamination appears to be isolated as the only positive samples have come from one specific site at the public restroom at City Hall.  All other samples throughout the City have been negative.

Additional samples have been sent to our state certified laboratory this morning, and we hope to have the test results and good news to share by the end of the day on Tuesday, November 10th.  Even though the risk of contamination throughout the community is low, it is important to continue to use caution and remain under the boil water alert until you hear differently from the City.

If you have not done so already, please login in to www.metcom911.com – and click on the Citizen Alert Notification Alert link on the right-hand side of the webpage, and follow the instructions to sign up for emergency alerts in your area.  This is one of the first ways the City will reach out to communicate with you when the boil water alert has been lifted.
