| Barendse
Park - Barendse Park is located at 4174 5th Street, and is the largest of all our
city parks as it encompasses 8.27 acres. Existing amenities include two ball fields; a skatepark; soccer goals; tennis courts; walking path (approx. 1/3 mile); drinking fountain; and restroom facilities. To reserve a ball field please call 503.982.9429. The fields are reserved
on a first-come, first-serve basis, with priority given to
local teams. Barendse's flag pole was dedicated in 1994 to
the memory of longtime Hubbard resident Ray Mortenson.
Rivenes Park - Rivenes
Park is located at the corner of 4th and "D" Streets
- and is the home of the City's annual HOPS Festival the third Saturday of July. It is a wonderful location to bring the kids on
a hot summer day, as it is equipped with not only playground
equipment, but also with Splash Fountain. During the summer
season, Splash Fountain comes on at 10:30 a.m. and automatically
shuts off at 9:00 p.m. Rivenes also boasts a covered picnic
area, which is available for everyone to use on a first-come
first-serve basis. Other amenities include horseshoes, 4 BBQ's; and restroom facilities. No reservations are needed for this park -- it is first-come, first-serve.
Centennial Park - Centennial
Park is the City's "first impression" park, so to
speak, and is located on the west side of 99E as you are driving
south towards Woodburn. This park was officially named at
our 100 year celebration in 1991. The beautiful flowers and
landscaping were donated and are cared for by a local resident.
With its beautiful flowers and green grass, we believe Centennial
Park adds beauty and character to Hubbard.
Kari Park - Kari Park is
located at 2335 Kari Lane, and is one of three neighborhood parks within the City.
Winchester Park - Winchester
Park is located at 3756 9th Street, and is one of three neighborhood
parks within the City.
Walnut Vale Park -
Walnut Vale Park is located at 2892 Walnut Ct., and is one of three
neighborhood parks within the City.
Wolfer-Will Greenway - Wolfer-Will Greenway is located at 2300 "D" Street, was donated to the
City in 1996 by the Wolfer-Will families. This greenway is
the last of the original Wolfer Farm, originated in 1880.
In 1999, a generous donation was made to the City, which allowed
us to purchase several baby trees. They were planted in the fall
of 1999. As these trees grow, they will add beauty and shade
to be enjoyed by all!
